Best advice I can give you would be to process it as cold as possible.
For small batches, I found that a potato ricer does a good job of squeezing out the wash.
A mesh coffee filter basket does a good job of pre-filtering and then a pass through a paper filter.
I use an etoh pro to reclaim the alcohol, but it's possible to make some tasty shatter using the process I've described.
