I'm Leaking!!!!

Hey All.......Trying to build an auto drip feeder for my soil garden....never messed with poly in my life until lastnight. My problem is I cant seem to make a fking hole for my emmiters that doesnt leak. I even bought the punch gun. I noticed that if i pop em in and then pull back a little bit...it slows the leak....but it still leaks. Is there a trick to making these things leak proof???? Help please....I'm drowning!!!!!

Silicone or rubber gromets around joints.

Use some sealant.

try useing a T fitting,where you want an emitter just cut the tubeing and put a T in, add a small piece with the emitter on it. done no leaks

so basically glue my 1/4" drip line connectors to my 1/2" poly?????no harsh chemical side effects????how would i use a grommet in this scenerio??

i thought maybe it was the emmiters right into the poly that was causing the leaks so i went out and bought a 6 way manifold that is basically t'd off my poly....my 1/4" lines leak right off the manifold...wtf....is my pump too big???? i put a valve right off my pump and turned it to half on half off but it made the pump sound like it was working really hard.

i also noticed that rainbird...the sprinkler manufacturer has a tool that pushes the emmiter into the poly and from what i could tell it was without pre punching the holes??? is this true??

i replaced the poly line with fish aquariam hose when i had problems with the black poly stuff when i made my bubbleponic set up motorcycle shops carry small wire clamps that fit fish aquariam hose perfect they use them on fuel hose & float overflow hoses on carbeuretors if thats any help

sorry i must b stupid and cant seem to upload pics....i always get an error after uploading my pics...any way...i had pump to 1/2" poly about 12' of poly from res to plants...had end cap on end of 1/2" poly.....then punched four holes with hole puncher in 1/2" poly....inserted my four 1/2 gph emmiters into 4 holes...from my emmiter i went with 1/4' poly up to my plants to a T......then went around the plants with a circle of 1/4" poly and attached both ends to the T.....it leaked right at the emmiters on the 1/2" poly.....hope this helps....
Then i went with pump to 1/2 poly to a T with a 6 way manifold on to then to poly to an end cap.......the manifold was rated at 2gph so i decided not to add my own emmiters and just adjust my timer instead.........attached my 1/4" poly with my drip ring to the manifold and it leaked right at the manifold to 1/4"poly......hope this help....

To make a long story short....Im still leaking and really want this auto feed to work...im scroggin and wont be able to tend to the plants in the back of the tent with the screen in the way.... HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP............Im on my way here after this bowl to get aquarium silicone

air hose huh??????makes sense....its more pliable and would probably form to the manifold connection better....thanks

try using one of these drip watering head it takes 1/2'' threaded inlet & has 8 drip hose outlets that are pressure regulated you attatch to your pump & leave in res. & run your lines out to plants you dont need a high output pump for drip setup check around for diy bubbleponic thread very similar to what youre tryin to do drip system head pictured is pressure regulated &rain bird unit has a filter inside avail at landscape supply stores

Yep, this aint rocket science... its weed science Pickleslinger is on the money. Use some aquarium sealant at your junctures and you will be fine.

ps you can use the air hose on these too

wait a minute...........is this a head that you would have at each plant site flooding my bucket or is that a manifold that you attach 8 1/4" drip lines too??

here is how i done it i bought 1/2'' threaded riser & used jb-weld to glue it to 85gph submersible pump then screwed drip system head on & the whole thing stays in res. & hoses are ran to individual plants this unit has 8 outlets outlets not used are left open to circulate nutes or you can block them off. because unit is self regulating & low pressure it dont tend to leak or blow the hoses off
