i'm not sure how to pull it out

so i was out in the yard taking my chickens inside for the night when i stepped on something that made me fall to the ground.

i've tried pulling it and twisting it but it won't come out. it's in like a fish hook real deep.

gonna try soaking it and see if that works. if not, i'm gonna sterilize a knife and perform some minor surgery.

Hot tub of water? Best bet
I hope it's nothing like a Blackthorn splinter or you'll be septic up to your knees.
