Hi Guys.
Firstly i would like to thank everyone as this site has been very helpful in nearly completing my second indoor grow.
I live in the UK and have only ever grown outside in the summer months up untill last autumn.
I was shocked to realise its a different thing growing indoors but im enjoying it very much.
I suffer from MS and my whole reason for doing this is so i can avoid street dealers and useless weed.
I currently have four Big Buddha Blue Cheese plants in week 4 of flower and 2 cuttings i took from them in the 2nd week of veg.
I have an ongoing issue with fungus gnats that im fighting with red wine and sugar traps as well as gnat off which is keeping the problem small-ish but not getting rid of.
I started to use nutrients last week for the first time.
I am using 1ml of Topmax and 1ml biobloom per litre.
I was watering everyday (which i have to do) but the leaves started to develop little yellowish spots so i have just flushed for the last 2 days.
My new plan is to use nutrients every 3rd day and just plain water in-between.
Could anybody throw a bit of advice my way?
It would be very appreciated.
Billy.

i have the same problems as you for the gnats i was advised to put a thin layer of sand on top of soil if your using soil that is it kilss the young but doesnt stop the adults but they wont be able to lay anymore eggs so it should help. the yellow spots on mine were an n def but it can be a couple of thing managed to fix mine ill try and find a link for you on plant problems and update.

Have a plant problem? Check here first! -- ------- --------- PLANT PROBLEM?

hope this helps. glad to see quite a few uk growers.

Can you explain why you 'have' to water every day? That is not going to be good for the plant, unless you are doing a drip system..... Are you growing in soil? Do you realize gnats are attracted to over watered soil?

I have to water everyday because i am using terrible soil.
I have since purchased all-mix which i will be using next grow..i thought it a bit late in flower to do so now.
I did know about the wet soil attracting gnats and up untill recently i have let it go dry before watering but if i miss a feed the plants are very unhappy looking.
The sand seems to be the next idea to try for now.
