Okay I maybe new to the site, and well... the growing green initiative. BUT something I have begun to see in very PLAIN site is people with soil issues are premixed (most of the damn time I've watch'd this daily).
Now Look at a premixed soil, pull out all the pieces of wood you see, you'll notice you've gathered quite the handful. Don't argue and tell me that the wood has already broken down* "because it hasn't fully.
Wood steals (N) for its breakdown, it also fucks the pH right up the rear. leaving us with plants that twist, turn, crinkle, and curl.... It happens daily people.
There are more reasons such as the overly high nute content of most potting soils. And thats cool and all but. THE WOOD it is no GOOD. thats all you gotta remember.
so my point..... umm
No wood/super black potting soils for your babies! Im tired of the carnage!!
