I just bought a quart of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow formula off ebay for $20 with shipping included. I ordered it late friday and it was here today from across the country. I don't have any experience with it but it's suppose to be pretty good stuff. I'm in the same boat as you. Only have wal mart around here. A lot of ppl on here are always talking about that fox farm stuff, but it's a little too expensive for me. So if you don't mind waiting a few days buying online seems like the way to go.

Well if your only chioce is home depot then you can use either MG or Alaska. But I wouldnt use alsaka in hydro that shit will friggin reek and all. I know a local grower that uses MG 20-20-20 for his hydro setup and gets decent yields.

But then I look at it this way the better nutes you use the better yield (product) you will produce when all else is the same (grower habits and environment). This is for the grower that doesnt know how to make thier own nutes (customizers please don't rag on me). If you can order online then thats what I would do.

Best O luck to ya!

Most of the Home Depots I've been in have a pretty decent "Garden Dept.". They should carry a variety of organic, soil, fertilizers there. For example: "Kellogg" organic, all-purpose, fertilizer (4-4-4) - it's made from dried poultry manure, bone meal, feather meal, kelp meal and alfalfa meal. Plus, it has a whole list of Mycorrhizae and other beneficial microbes. You can add a "balanced" fertilizer like this, mixed at a moderate strength (maybe even a little on the "light-side") right in with your potting soil at every re-potting throughout the entire grow. This will give you a "soft-dose" of basic nutrients that are good for all stages of growth.

Now, bring on the Alaska Fish Fertilizer! But remember, it comes in two flavors: "Regular" Alaska Fish Fertilizer (5-1-1, in the "Yellow Label"), and the other one is "Morbloom" Alaska Fish Fertilizer (0-10-10, in the "Pink Label").
For the veg stage, use the "Yellow Label" at about 1/2 strength to spike up the Nitrogen.
For the flowering stage, use the "Pink Label" at about 1/2 strength to spike up the Phosphorous.

Using just these 3 products available at Home Depot, should be all you need! Oh yeah, about MG products - don't get me started!
