What an ass I am. Noticed spider mite activity on a small plant lastnight. Didn't have any proper insecticide around. Figured I'll go to store today and pick something up. Unfortunately I couldn't leave it at that and decided to take some kind of action to knock these bastards back a bit. Found some insect repellent, the kind you rub on your exposed skin if you are going to be outside amongst mosquitos and shit. A quick read of the label mentioned nothing about toxicity to plants. So I misted the plant just a little.
Today the plant looks like it was hit with agent orange. Taking emergency measures but I don't hold much hope for her.
I really don't think anyone would be as foolish as I but thought I'd mention this as sometimes, especially after a few beers our judgement isn't up to snuff.
So if you ever get the idea to mist your plants with mosquito repellent... don't do it.
