Hello, I'm going to be starting a new indoor grow soon. I've done three indoor auto-flower grows with a friend, in his house, before and he did most of the work so i know a couple basics but not everything.
I'm just starting to order everything as far as lights and seeds, as for soil, nutrients, fans and a few other miscellaneous items im going to go to my local hydro shop (im not using hydro, they just carry alot of items). I will be using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil mixed with a little extra perlite, along with Fox Farm Nutrients Grow Big and Tiger Bloom. I have a Decent sized cabinet ill be working with, i dont have the exact measurements but i'm working with about 5' 6" - 6' Feet of height, probably about 4 feet wide and 3' 6" - 4' feet Deep. It's in the basement of my house. I am pretty much having to start from scratch with no supplies so if anyone has any good suggestions i am open to them.
Auto-flowers or not. I mean i have the height to stretch and i know an auto might not be the best choice for that, then again my previous box was only probably 3' feet tall.
that is if i use the traditional method of just simply growing them. Then i stumbled upon the idea of splitting the box down the middle with a divider and vegging two on the left and then flowering two on the right to cut the period between harvests in half. (another reason id like some info on lighting). or as another option ive been doing my fair share of research on Scrogging the plants, i know if i were to do this the most i could possibly put in the cabinet would be two plants maybe even just one, But i am concerned with the yield, im not sure which way would leave me with more product.
Please help, cause as you can tell i am at a complete loss attempting this with my present knowledge.
