Indoor growing - seedlings

hi guys this is my first grow ever and I have never seen it done so am very new to this am learning as I go by reading up online i have a full set up big Buddha 1.2x 1.2 x 200 high tent 600w hps light. 5" fan ect. Am growing in ALL MIX soil. So down to point I started my 5 cheese seeds on plate a tissue when they germinated I put them I 5" pots an put the strait under 600w light I put light as high as it could go the lady's a 1 week old now an curies if I have got light the right height because they are shoot up with tallish stem. Take alook at pics plz am tell me if they are ok or they look like they are stretching and weather am doin right thing by putting 600w light as high as possable thanks guys

They look normal don't worry about it, take a smoke and relax You dont want to love them to death. Welcome to rollitup

ha cheers Andrew I would love to have a joint but I don't smoke it ha. so having the light so high is not a problem ?

Do the 'hand test'.

If you can leave the back of your hand under the light without it starting to feel too hot for comfort
then it's fine
(Plants like the same warmth as us).

There is no need to have a greater distance than that distance.
