Indoor/outdoor Desert Grow

I live in the Mojave Desert, and have started my first grow. I am doing an indoor-outdoor grow--outside to get full sunlight during the day, and inside under 6500K fluoros at night.

My plants are now about 8 inches tall, and I'm growing Indica hybrids. These are not well suited to our extremely hot, arid climate. Since it's still March, though, the heat is not intense though the sun is already bright. I am planning to continue this regimen until they are ready to flower, when they will be brought inside to my grow room full-time. Hopefully, it will not get too hot outside for them in veg state before they are ready to be pushed into flowering indoors.

Right now each plant is in a gallon pot, and I have 5 gallon pots ready to transplant them into once they have vegged longer and roots show in the bottom of the gallon pots.

I have all the plants (20) in rolling garden carts, to make it easy to move them around the backyard, catching the sunlight, and to bring them back in at dusk.

I've never found anything online about trying to do a grow in this manner, so I thought I'd put it out here and see if any of you have tried this kind of experiment, and how it worked. Has anyone here ever done a grow like this--both indoor and outdoor? Is it stressful to the plants to be moved like this, and to be under both direct sunlight during daylight hours and fluoros during the evening hours?

Is there more of a chance in doing the veg stage of the grow this way that I'll end up with males or hermies?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and offer any advice or suggestions.
I'm a double amputee with a severe vascular disease, and living on a tight budget. Pain relief and sleep are paramount, and I desperately want this crop succeed for my medical needs.

I am not sure many would agree with me, but yes giving them sunlight is the best thing to do.

I spent a year in the Mojave Desert (29 palms) so I know about the weather there. Thin air because of the altitude, Very hot and dry.

My suggestion is to give them sunlight, but from inside the house. Only bring them outside if the temps are 85 and below.

Four hours of sunlight is all you need and you will see incredible grow rate.
