So I was reading this article about how some dudes used machine learning to train a program to identify "14 crops species and 26 diseases (or absence thereof)" and thought this would be amazing to have for weed.
It would be very easy to do the same for our friend cannabis as the algorithms used are freely available.
The hard part is getting the data set with diseased and healthy leaves (they used "a public dataset of 54,306 images of diseased and healthy plant leaves") so we can train the algorithm.
What we would need is a place to upload pictures of weed leaves and a way for people to tag them as healthy or diseased and what disease it has.
