Info on Soil Growing!!

Ok heres my question.. i've grown hydroponics quite afew times and want to try soil.. what kinda soil should i use, and what kinda food do i give them, is there a SOIL A & B Veg food? or like how does it work with soil.. im completey newbie on soil.. so just gimme a good Feeding Instruction for soil..

good first soil nutes are foxfarm grow big or general hydroponics' maxigrow. Maxigrow also has their flowering nutes called maxibloom, and foxfarm has no less than six or seven different flowering nutes. Their main one is tiger bloom I think

everyone has their personal favorites too.

As for soil, I'd go for a promix / perlite / earthworm castings blend. Either make it yourself, look for soil with ewc, or get foxfarm ocean forest. Ocean forest is pricey but it is THE BEST. Also consider you can use a lot less nutrients with ocean forest, so it makes it a better value

organic nutrients are great but release very slowly and if you fuck up, you can poison your plants and not realize it. The taste is better though, but it's not for noobs

It really depends on what you want to do. I would say the promix is definately a good way to go. You will be providing all the nutrients because it has no NPK value I believe. I have never used it before but I'm pretty sure it's inert. You could go with any fertilizer that you wanted.

If you wanted to go organic you might try FF Peace of Mind. I am using it and i have had pretty good results with it and it's easy you just mix it in the soil and water doesn't get any simpler than that. The ferts are in the soil though so there is less control than measuring out water soluble fertilizers and testing it before feeding. I haven't had problems with it tho. They have it for veg and bloom but I have only used the fruit and flower one which is in the soil in the final transplanting pots, but you could also use the veg one in your soil mix for vegetatative growth. I wouldn't use it with ocean forest though as it seems to have plenty of nutrients already added for vegetative growth. Get some FF BB and use it with these and your all set. Grow big and tiger bloom are not totally organic just so you know. Another good choice for organic gardening is blue mtn organics. http://stores.ebay.com/bluemountainorganics I want to try this stuff very soon.

If you don't care about going organic and just want to grow in soil you might try something like jack's classic fertilizer which a lot of people use and recommen d here. There are plenty of options really.

I use Foxfarm Oceanforest soil, Foxfarm Growbig for veg, and Foxfarm Tiger Bloom/Big Bloom for flower. Follow the online feeding chart, NOT the feed directions on the bottle. They work great.

The bottle directions are ok but these give you a little more detailed idea of what to do. My first time I just went off the side of the bottle and had a little bit of nute burn problems, but it still turned out fine.

can you put ff big bloom and grow big in the same jug??

There is nothing wrong with Miracle Grow Organic. That and about 15-25% perlite is a great mix. After about two weeks you start adding nutes. Many many options on nutes. There is nothing wrong with MG Organic. Plus it's like $7 a bag dude.

yes, just make sure you don't add ever add the concentrates together directly. Mix one into the water / reservoir, let it dissolve, then add the other. if you add the solids or concentrates together first they can combine in weird and harmful ways.
