Infusing vodka with THC methods?

Anyone tried infusing vodka with weed? I've read up on it a bit looks pretty straight forward but wondering if anyone has done it. Also what are the effects of it? I'm guessing its more for 1-2 single shots and to make fancy drinks vs drinking straight all night and getting some insane body high.

I made some Tequila verde by fulling a jar with shredded bud and sugar leaves. Filled it up with Tequila and left it in the dark for 6 months. I can't say it was completely successful. Got the alcohol effect from a couple shots...but only a medium buzz. I just now realized one mistake. I should have decarbed the buds in the oven first. This was years ago. Have you read of a better approach?

Yah decarb first. The two methods were using slow cooker and takes about 2-3 hours the other is just soaking the bud in the alcohol for a week in the fridge and giving it a shake couple times per day. Also wondering about the effects, I can't see it being a good way to spend the night drinking and guessing it would be used to make a fancy drink one would drink once per night.

Well it's really a matter your feelings about alcohol. Back when I made it...a few shots were no problem. I liked to get stoned and drunk at the same time. Not any more...mostly because I'm older now and my poor liver needed a rest.

But it might be a way to use up some popcorn buds and sugar leaves that wouldn't get smoked. Now I prefer cannabutter.

Another consideration. Because it's oral (even though infused in alcohol) it takes awhile to come on. Now what do you do til then? Smoke a doobie, of course. And it all gets lost in the mix. That's what was happening with me.

You thinking like something for a party? A special drink. a plate of snickerdoodles would serve that purpose better...in my thinking.

making a Tincture IS EASY and is exactly what you are doing..just weaker.

I infused some makers mark whiskey a few years back. Poured it over a jar of sugar trim and popcorn buds and let it sit a few weeks. It definitely had an effect but I smoke to much for most edibles unless I consume a ton and then I just get sleepy.

It's was a fun summer drink I poured the infused whiskey over ice and it turned all cloudy then topped it with lemonade. Very tasty with the added canna flavor in the whiskey.

We used Irish Whiskey. One shot of that and you slept really good. Two shots and you didn't want to get up.
