Hello All,
Looking for some help to see if I can help salvage anything from this grow, I think I have just realized that my flower growth is quite stunted due to a lack of light. Here are some details I hope will help, please ask for any other info
Grow space info:
Grow space size 4.5 x 5
Light - 900 UV blackstar (with light mover) appx 10" above majority of canopy)
Medium - Coco (grown in autopots)
Nutrients - House and garden
Genetics - Agent Orange, TGA seeds
Flower date - Feb 30, 2014
Flowering light cycle (11 on, 13 off)
Veg time - 4 weeks
ventilation - 6" exhust fan, 4" intake fan
Water - R/O (base ppm appx 80)
Feed strength - appx 800-900 ppm.
Temps - pretty consistent around 22
Humidity - 55 - 60
I have had some reasonable results some autoflowers in the past, this was my first time using regular seeds.
I was quite proud of my grow space and thought I had done a decent job with my environment. I knew LEDS were still not as good as hps yet but I thought on my size grow with a light mover I would be fine and I did not want the heat of an HPS for fire concerns.
But now after 7 weeks of flower I have nice looking decent size plants with lots of bud sites but with small and wispy flowers that never developed into colas because they never put on the weight to bridge the space between the flowering sites. My pistils have started to change color and pull inside to a point.
I was trying to be patient and not worry to much about the slow growth because they looked healthy and I thought my patience would pay off.... I now realize that was way wrong and I think I was light starving my girls.
I use medicinally and the prospect of this past few moths being a waste is painful but I also don't want to waste more time trying to save something from a crop that is never going to put any weight on or develop properly.
Is there anything I can do to save these ladies? I do have a HPS and adjustable ballast around so I can add this. I realize there will be some shock likely but could I add this light and give them a few more weeks? Would they still bulk up or tighten up? I have added some pics, hopefully they are helpful?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
