Insulated res with frozen 2 liters ?

Anyone ever use an insulated res Temporarily in 85 deg weather with a couple of frozen 2 liters ?

In a very well insulated res would this be enough to keep the temps in the lower 70's for 24 hour periods ?

It will work, but not for 24 hours. Be prepared to replace the bottles every 2 to 3 hours during lights on to keep the res temps in the range you want. My experience is with several 25 gallon rez's.

another good way to keep res cool is having it sit on straight cement......but yeah if you are going to cool the res with frozen bottles you need a bunch of frozen back ups...
