Interested in growing... need some help

I'm interested in growing marijuana in my room. Only problem is i'm only in highschool (18 years old) and living with my parents. So basically I need a way to grow it without them finding out. We live on 18 acres with some wooded areas and am fairly positive I could grow a plant or two outdoors without anyone noticing. My other option is to grow in some small cabinents in my room and have a high risk of getting caught or I have another idea which I need some input on.

In my room I have a stereo system with two big speaker boxes. The subwoofer on one of the boxes is busted rendering the entire hallow box useless except for a small part sealed off for the mid-range and high-range speakers. The inside of this box is about 8 inches wide, 10 inches long, and 16 inches tall. The box is a vented enclosure so there is a tube that provides ventilation. I've cut out the back part of the box and cut out a piece of wood with a bunch of holes in it (the stuff used to hang tools and other things on on workbenches) that fits snug into the back of the box. I've covered the entire inside of the box with some foil like tape and put a small cpu fan that runs off of bateries in the ventilation tube. I've put a light ficture in the top of the box with a florescent bulb for lighting. When on my shelf, the speaker looks completely normal niether the noise from the fan or the light are noticable at all. My main concern with this is that it is too small. If any of you think I could still get by with this small box i'd much rather do that as I am about 90% positive no one will ever notice. I'll try to get some pictures up of the speaker box and the inside of it when time permits.

If anyone has some input on my idea or any general advice for someone who is just starting then i'd greatly appreciate it.

hmm, you could fit 1 plant in there if you tried real hard and flowered real early. prob. definitly have to top it!

Alright cool I should get started growing in the next few days as soon as I get some seeds from a friend. Also how much smoke will I get from a plant this small and what do you think the minimum amount of watts for the florescent bulb I would need for that small of a space?

dude wait till the season and do it outside you grow like a 1/4 and a month or half, not worth the time.

i probably will start growing outside when the time rolls around but in the meantime i've got nothing else to do so i plan to grow indoors and just mess around with that until i can grow outside.

That is a small small space for growing. Like wvguy said wait to do it outsite. However, your speaker may be a good place to germinate seed.

well what if i go ahead and decide to grow in this box since i've already got it ready and everything just for the hell of it... will i get any bud from a plant grown inside of it at all or is it just too small for it to work period.

i won't be able to smoke any of it anyways because i have random drug testing till oct 2007 so i was planning on just saving it all till then. so even if i get very small yields from each plant it doesn't bother me.

I'm trying to do the same thing as you but my speaker is smaller and im a newb at this so I dont know what to buy. Think you can help me out?
