Irregular lighting patterns with an auto strain

say if i had them on 24/0 then switched to 12/12, then 14/10 or any random light patterns, how would the plants react.

would it hermie on me or will the fact its an auto mean its less affected by light schedules?

i dont plan on intentionally doing this, but sometimes it gets too hot after the lights being on for like 24 hours straight (depending on the weather)so i need to turn off the lights(i cant open it up as its a stealth/micro grow and i have enough fans that it makes enough noise already, anymore would be too loud) So i may have to resort to removing a cfl.

In my experience, it's really not a good idea to randomly change your photo period from day to day, especially if you're in 12/12. Any change in the photo period of plants in 12/12 can easily result in your plants herming or reverting to veg state.

If you have heat issues during the day, you might consider switching your veg to 18/6, with as much of the 18 on-time as possible being at night. 18/6 will keep them in veg, but you'll have at least the hottest 6 hours of the day without lights on. This obviously also helps save electricity, so there's an added bonus. Other than that, I'm not sure what else you could do.
