is 12 hours darkness enough

is it set in stone to use 12 hour on and off or can i provide more darkness like 11 on 13 off? is it that much of a difference and what would change from it? by the way i have one plant its under three 20 watt cfls and im almost on my second week of flowering

12/12 is the standard. There are theories here and there about different hours of light during flowering. Just stick with the 12/12...its tried, tested and proven over and over and over all across the globe.

oh i was just wondering cuz it seems my plant actually grows in the dark. like i wont notice any growth during the time the lights are on and ill look at the plants b4 the lights go off and the light will be about 2 inches from the plant i come in the morning to turn on the light and i have to adjust the light cuz they would have grown up during dark hours.

When you initialy take your plant from 24/0 or what have you and put it into 12/12 it will stretch for a few days, after a few days the stretching will slow down and come to a halt while the flower production starts.

thats what i noticed today i didnt notice any growth so u just answered my next question lol. it seems to have stopped growing. i have new growth too. so is the next step of the plant is to show sex?

Yea it should show pre-flowers soon

its about 2 months old and its goin on its second week of flowering. its indica and it seem shorter than what it should be but its healthy and extremely bushy

having a longer dark peroid won't make your plants flower fast, use 12/12. Ofcourse 12/12 works, that why we use it, duh.

ya after your stretching slows/stops sex should be apparent now or very soon. I am sure you know how to sex them but Ill attach this image just in case

Seems like your plant should have shown u sex by now (if the flowering extreme stretch phase is over).

Post some pics its just not fair that we don't get any eye candy

well today i looked at the plant and i seen a pear with two small hairs so i have a female!! i have a camera but its not too good so i posted some pics on my profile or whatever. i havent adjusted the light in three days watered it today and hopefully the next couple weeks ill have better pics
