Is 16,000lumens per square foot a waste?

Might be a dumb question but I never see people talking about this high of lumens per square foot. I have a 600w and a 250w hps in a 11.32 sqft area. Inputs,comments thanks guys and gals.

I was just thinking maybe the reason I only see ppl with like 11 and down is becausee maybe 11 is more efficient or something.

It probably would be more efficient but unless your running 20 lights, the extra few thousand lumens won't hurt. Lumens per square foot also depends on the distance from the bulb to the plants, unless you have then bang on 1 foot away then the lumens per square foot will decrease.
