Is 45days into flower too late to hit with pollen?

It's probably to late. It should look like a ball of hairs and not even really like a bud. Usually between days 20-30. I guess maybe if your strain is super slow, a 14 week sativa or something... but seeds take anywhere between 4-6 weeks so calculate that out and tell us what you get.
