I converted an old mars hydro to 5000k, using (4) Luxeon G3 1208's by Phillips Lumileds. The PDF is down below

I thought it would be great for vegging, I have a nice 260w Citizen 3500k DIY build that I have used for flower, but I think it's too much LED for veg. I also want to say I have never vegged with COBs so maybe beginners error, flower no complaints my citi kicks ass.
But so far this Luxeon Mars build has been somewhat disappointing, one plant has grown accustomed to it and has done fine. Others were so bad I just killed them because they looked terrible.
I grow in promix, the Mars actually used to be good in veg, I'd have a little cal/mag probs but nothing crazy, some calimagic would make that go away but since using this Mars hack it's been terrible.
Sprouted 6 plants, 3 I just killed after 2 weeks because they were so yellow it was beyond belief and no growth. One plant actually is doing well at day 26(7 tight nodes at 7"), it shows cal/mag deficiency though but when I feed it, it burns the damn thing.
The leaves on these other two are yellow already(2 weeks), never had these problems before and it's irritating. I can't figure out if it's too much light, cal/mag, the spectrum, or a mositure problem, since this damn thing runs so cool the tent never gets above 70F and the promix just stays wet all the time....
Light is at 36", 100 watts total, 35v*4=140*0.7A=98w
The efficacy of the bulbs is 145l/w so that should be good. Any help would be appreciated, this light should be pretty good on paper, I mean certainly better than the original.
Any help would be nice,
