Well I seem to be having a problem with heat. I have 10x5x9 ft room with 3 1000's and I am using a 3x3 tray with a 3x6 and I have 46 kids in there with 4 per row in 7" 2 gallon buckets the square ones. I went through veg with no problem at alll 76 degrees but I had only 1 light on the portable evenstar didnt have to work that hard. So now with 1 halide and 2 hps 1000's pumping through the 6" air cooled lights I am having a temp reading of 83-84. I have about 6 tall boys that dont look the greatest and I was thinking about taking them out to make more room and hope for less heat. Anyone know if this would work or would it stay the same? Not to sure what to do I am in 1st week flower and I dont want to run into any spider mite problems or anything else for that mater. I was thinking kill three - six of the Grape Apes to make room for a big ass fan. Any advice would be helpful.

What CFM is the fan on your lights? With 3 lights you might find 8" vents would work better

That's a lot of heat in a little area. Could you get away with 2 light?

Is there anyway to get a air conditioner in there?

Can you get more intake of cooler air? Probably by increasing exhaust.

Just a few thoughts I had...

u need bigger fans to pull all that heat away! doesnt matter how many plants u kick out u still have the heat problem, upgrade the fans or get an a/c unit

Good afternoon! :-P 85 is pretty much the max temp for flowering. They say the higher the temps the less potency. So, Like the others mentioned..More circulation will take care of it. And the Humidity should be real low for lots of sticky ickiness... Best of luck to ya :)

Theses plants were grown with 90 to 100 degree temps and the humidity at 30 to 40.

80 degrees is just fine. You will spend all kinds of money just to get the temps to drop 5 degrees.

Trust me they will be fine.

As long as you have good air circulation, you should be ok. It's not that hot or humid, but I wouldn't let it get much more humid.

Well I was pulling air from outside the room through the lights. I also have a Dehumdifer in there as well think i should get the humidy to 40%? Also you think I should stop pulling air from outside the room and suck the air from inside the room kind of like a vacuum or should i just leave the temp at 83-84 which is is now and drop the humidy?:dunce:

All I can think is you have to many big lights for your space. I think pulling the air out of your room will only make your temps go higher and your air conditioner work harder. You can try putting a timer on your hps and run it for an hour, let is sit for an hour and see what that does for you. Again, I wouldn't worry to much with humidity at fifty.

Read up on some of Uncle Ben's threads, he has a lot of good info that might help you not stress so much. Good luck.
