Is cloning gel necessary?

Does anyone not use cloning gel to root cuttings?

I think its a waste. I never use it. Cut them and stick them in the rockwool..or whatever you use.

I dont use it if i did want to use a rooting agent i would use the willow juice method all natural and best plant rooting hormone you can get your hands on

I've thought about making a tea to soak the RW in from willow. Maybe I'll give it a go next time.

Not necessary, but can help root a little faster.

I have and have not. I prefer to use a gel when ever possible.

Not needed when using an eZclone - However I use it sometimes when I want the clones to root up faster.

ive never used a gel, too pricey. if you really want to use something i would just drop a bit of whatever concentrated solution you prefer. much cheaper.. i normally dont use anything though..anything is too pricey, time consuming and a waste..
in my personal opinion.

root times have more to do with strain, ive had some root very quick with or without any fancy crap. and some strains i just could not clone efficiently no matter what.
