Is coco good to start seedlings?

I used to start seedlings in a 3 oz Dixie cup with coco pith. I moved to Jiffy peat pellets because of laziness. In either medium you need to feed between 7 to 14 days.

One time I started a seed in a 3 gallon cloth pot, in straight coco, to see what would happen....Watering daily proved to be too often in that size container....
Seedlings love coco, in suitably sized volumes....Explosive root growth in moist coco. I've even gotten away with 1/4 strength veg feedings right from birth. Im not saying that's a good idea, totally unnecessary in most cases....

Ime, its a good idea. Coco is inert. And you can grow monsters in small pots. I did 5 gallons way back when. In hindsight, and as a suggestion, I wouldn't use more than a 3 gallon for coco for most any size. Unless you want to fill out a large area with one plant
So yea, you can use coco with no nutes at first, but definitely start feeding after 14 days. They'll starve.
