Is DWC appropriate for hot weather? Will F & D be better

Hi guys, old school R/DWC grower here who's never flowered in flood and drain. Is it better than DWC under summer circumstances? My DWC grow exploding but roots are slightly brown. Not much of a problem then, but I can't help but wonder if F & D in hydroton will improve my yields in summer instead of DWC. Chillers are a pain (+plus mine got stolen!) and they use a heck of a lot of power, so isn't it simpler then to just grow in media when DWC rises above 23C (~70F)

Yes its better... coco would be easier tho

Doing perlite vermiculite mix in pots for moms and gh grows. It is easier in a way. Roots stay white white but growth not as fast as dwc even with brownish roots

Was wondering the same thing. I could never get my plants to look right with F&D

Even if they arent the same you could use the electricity used for the chiller on more lights and plants to get the same yield

I switch to coco for the summer months,having a raised flood table sure would make it easier to collect runoff.So basically the same as ebb and flow kinda lol.
