is flushing involed in chlorine taste

ive noticed in some smokes there is a very strong chlorine taste/after taste, like pool water up your nose taste. im thinking this is from flushing with fresh un aged tap water. if so, flushing with aged water and adding a few drops of a flavor extraxt such as lemon or mint it should suck some up?

ok so it does suck it up. a buddy has some half cured that was flushed with lemon extract. the smell is insane deff smell lemon the taste is garbage. my final answer is leave food flavoring to food and get a better plant.
