V vcrew.gambit Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2008 #3 Depends on which part of Tejas. If you're anywhere north of say, Laredo, I would advise against growing outside until March or April. (I was born in Austin and raised in Dallas, btw. What part of of Texas are you out of?)
