Is it cool to raise lights in very early preflower to get some stretch ?

May have had my lights a bit close and are kinda short I'm in the very very early stages of preflower so some is still vegging . I have lst'd but plants are still small enough that they could really do with more of a stretch for more effective lst.

If I raise both my led and cfl will they begin to stretch at this point or will this just hinder my preflower or just slow it down with some stretching

They will stretch anyways during transition

Figure stretch into your math. You should veg for exactly as long as it takes to reach the height you want before stretch...

Ok I see. Technically you could increase the distance to the lights for some stretch. Growing them as well as possible before they switch is really the best you can do imo. I dont think it will help with yield.

No. Don’t deprive them of light. They’ll stretch plenty in flower.

If you want more stretch keep it cooler at night. Check out temperature differential. I'm pretty impressed with how it can affect it.

I like to keep my lights about 24”-30” above my grow as my plants begin to stretch I adjust my height. I use light rails so I could lower my lights closer to the plants but choose not to.
