Is it possible to run a dehumidifier in non sealed grow room

Would it be pointless to run a dehu in a tent that's being exhausted outside? I'd figure all the dry air being spit from the dehuey would get circulated too fast and exhausted so it wouldn't really lower my RH. Anybody have any advice or info about this?

Depends how much you need to move the air. I have a dehumidifier in my tent. Keeps the temps up and humidity down. I put in a weaker fan than i use in the summer so it has less air exchange. Additinally, if your intake comes from a closed room you could dehumidify that air before its pulled in.
Edit;
Also the dehumidifier will likely run 24/7.

Yes, it's done all the time. You just need to size the dehuey according to room size and allow some extra if you're constantly exchanging. I run mine only during lights out and have it set to 55% so it only kicks in if RH ever gets to that level.

What brand? How many amps does it use? Thanks!
No idea, never checked the amp draw, typically they're in the 3A range, I never concerned myself with the draw as I have multiple circuits in the room and put it on one that has next to nothing on it. Got a 60 pint unit which is oversized for the room and it works well. This is the one I got but I'm in Canada, you should have a lot more options if you're in the US and 30%-40% cheaper.
