Is it time to harvest yet?

all the leaves are begining to curl upward but only slightly, also they are turning brown, but they have been brown for awhile now... this is happening to all the fan leaves, the top cola doesnt quit look done yet... but idk, this is my first grow...

YOU CAN GO BY A CALENDER, AND IT WILL BE BETWEEN 8 AND 9 WEEKS FOR MOST INDICA.
You can buy a $13 lighted battery operated 10X microscope at Radio Shack to examine the trichs.
You can wait until all the hairs are reddish or browish or dark beer colored.

again, all the above are rules of thumb and many will argue this, but until you've done a few grows and learn any better, this is good advise.

get a eye loop they use for looking at 35mm slides for cheap

what he said... but i wouldnt say people would argue that... how could anyone argue about the trich meathod? those are just other ways to tell for people that dont know the trich thing or cant get theyre hands on something to look at the trichs with.

looking at trichs are deffinately the best way to tell.

that is was a wuspy, sissy way, and any grower worth his dank ought to be able to just look and tell with his naked eyes. He was adament (mad)

thats an immature statement as a mod...wat about the new growers who cant tell with their naked eye?

FDD2BLK is very smart with his soil growing, but he is outspoken on many iussues, like CFLs and evidently, about Trichome charts.

haha, I just checked out my trichs with just a 2x magnify glass (like the old school one we all burnt ants with as a kid =D) and I can already see what ya mean by cloudy trichs haha, I think ima stick with my plan on choppin her down on saturday. Thanks alot guys.

as far as it goes with FDD, hes an old school farmer, and its very true... you should be able to tell with the naked eye, if you check out his harvest guide, he shows a picture of a clearly premature bud, and a very mature bud, the difference is very clear, and if your a first time grower, your ganna be looking at your plant EVERY day to check up on it... so you will notice the change take place =)

yea i supose. but for people that dont know, it kinda helps.
