Probably not to early to top. Looks like you may need more light or closer light. Seems like it is stretched a bit. Lots of space there.

If I were you I might wait a little bit before you top it looks a little small still it might be too much shock for it

Your plant has some problems...nute problems im guessing...what are you using for nutes...what lights?...how old is that plant?
