im a just about to start growin and ive been askin questions and reading about alot of stuff for my first grow and i heard that you need a male and a female plant to have make the buds when i thought u only needed females and that males have nothin 2 do wit anything and there basically useless

males will get you seeds if you let it near a female ..Kill males .. Keep females ..

no you only need male and female humans to make kids named Bud..lol..but no seriously you are right..as a beginner I am sure your mostly interested in having some fat buds to smoke..so yeah you don't want to keep any males around once you can recognize them in the flowering stage..the only things males are good for is pollinating your females if you are wanting to have some extra seed around for future grows...comes in handy especially the price of some strains..if your growing a real expensive strain and only have a few seeds then its worth to pollinate a few buds atleast..that is if you want to grow that strain later..hope that helps..

ya you are only after the female plants to get pure fat buds without the seeds. you want a better yield and you do not want to pick seeds all day out of your bud so get rid of the dudes with the first sign of sex
