Is low humidity really going to cause a serious problem?

So i have my little grow area almost complete. I already know low humidity will already be a problem since its oviously an indoor grow, and in a small space. Does anyone think that low humidity will be a serious problem, or maybe it just depends on the strain?

High humidity is a much bigger problem than low as it can result in molds. Once you place plants in your grow area, expect your humidity to increase. In the event that your humidity is still low, mist your plants everyday or keep and open bucket of water in the corner.

Dont forget that its relative humidity that you must concern yourself with.

Ideally you need humidity for vegging around 50-60%RH
And for flowering the lower the better around 35-50%RH

When in flower the lower the humidity the more resin production occurs. However you may find that your leaves dry up alot more.
People on this site have had successfull grows with RH as low as 20%.
If you need to increase RH then you can hang a damp towel in your grow area and keep wetting it everytime it dries.

More plants = more RH.

Rather then a damp towel hanging. I think you would see a better increase in RH and less work if you had a wick going into a bowl/bucket of water, and a fan blowing over it. Most humidifiers these days are wick based anyway so you can even get their specific wicks, though one for a torch would probably work the same. Anyway my last grow I was doing RH around 30%. It was so low to accommodate a very picky sativa I had, but I found much lower then that and I the plants got wind burn to easily.

Aqua is correct. High humidity is far worse than low. Simply get some wide bowls of water in there, wider the better (for evaporation purposes).

A fan causes ripples which increase the surface area for evaporation.

i mist my vegging plants with a foliar feed once a day but if thats not enough you can mist the hole inside of your grow room with water once in a while
