This dinosaur is going to fall. It's up to us to push.

We can not let the losers in the 'war on us' write the laws.
Get these parasites out of my garden.

Like the Berlin Wall. Solid as a rock, then all of a sudden it's abandoned and torn down.

Just not as fast... Seriously, is there anyone that thinks we could go back to Draconia now? The environment still sucks, but clearly headed in the right direction.

a friend just sent me this clip from the Act and his opinion about how it relates to growing cannabis, but i've not read the Act so i'm wondering if anyone here knows it well enough to comment on my friends opinion below?

Michigan's right to farm Act

http://www.michigan.gov/documents/mdard/RTF_ACT-93-of-1981_379049_7.pdf?20140228153601

"(6) Beginning June 1, 2000, except as otherwise provided in this section, it is the express legislative intent that this act preempt any local ordinance, regulation, or resolution that purports to extend or revise in any manner the provisions of this act or generally accepted agricultural and management practices developed under this act. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a local unit of government shall not enact, maintain, or enforce an ordinance, regulation, or resolution that conflicts in any manner with this act or generally accepted agricultural and management practices developed under this act."

"This should cover any local ordinance that bans commercial medical marihuana farming operations. The right to farm act preempts any local ordinance that conflicts with it. Furthermore, Michigan(California?) cannabis farmers have the right to operate anywhere, including residential areas as long as they follow the GAAMP's(accepted AG practices). This was upheld by the Michigan court of appeals already, see (Papadelis v. City ofTroy and Charter Township of Shelby v. Papesh)"

i'm having a hard time finding why this law cannot protect cannabis growers on a"farm". unless it only nullifies 'local' laws and does not include 'state' statutes?

286.472 Definitions.
Sec. 2. As used in this act:
(a) “Farm” means the land, plants, animals, buildings, structures, including ponds used for agricultural or
aquacultural activities, machinery, equipment, and other appurtenances used in the commercial production of
farm products.

(6) Beginning June 1, 2000, except as otherwise provided in this section, it is the express legislative intent that this act preempt any local ordinance, regulation, or resolution that purports to extend or revise in any manner the provisions of this act or generally accepted agricultural and management practices developed under this act. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a local unit of government shall not enact, maintain, or enforce an ordinance, regulation, or resolution that conflicts in any manner with this act or generally accepted agricultural and management practices developed under this act.
