Is mixing a 400watt HPS and a 400watt MH together for the flowering period?

Is mixing a 400watt HPS and a 400watt MH together for the flowering period okay or should I go buy a second HPS? I just have 6 plants in there and I run the HPS the whole time then I just got a second ballast so I started up a MH i had extra.

Will the plants benefit from this?

yeah it will def be good for them ....i use a 600HPS with a 250MH and im gonna add some LED .....MORE LIGHT MORE SPECTRUM MORE TOMATOES

yep, Eye Hortilux makes a bulb that does this in one envelope. A 600 Hps and 400mh all in one bulb that runs on a 1000w hps ballast. Covering more spectrum is seen as ideal.
