Is my plant ready to harvest?

I've been flowering my northern lights plant for 55 days and there are only about 3 red hairs, but I think it's because this is a slow growing plant. Her crystals are covering most of the bud and I don't have a microscope to tell if they're amber-ish yet, but it kinda looks like it. Would the potency be decreased If I harvested now?

IMO, the taste will probably be diminished.

There has been many discussions about the amber trichs, High Times claims when they turn amber it is a sign of deterioration of THC.

of course there are maximum harvest times, and this will give you the maximum potency. do you know what kind of plant your growing? Average flower time is 63 days. do you see any amber?

I'm growing Northern Lights, it's average flowering time is 45 - 50 days I think. I see amber in a few places with magnifying glass.

can you get a closer pic ?

yes , when trics start turning amber , the potency is decreasing ...... but very slowly so you want to get them when the trics are all cloudy white just before they turn amber .......... so if you see amber then it is probably done.
