Is my Strawberry Kush ready?

I have several and am trying to figure how to tell physically. I have three buds here. The first pic - turned dark brown and may be shrinking. But I handled it to check for mold or rot.

The other two pics show that the hair is milky color. None have turned red or purple yet.

They are far from ready receded / browned pistils is a good sign. You have fully erect hairs meaning buds are still developing and your fruit is not ripe
i agree with this, you've still got a few good weeks left on them..

like turtle says, one thing to look for is that all of the pistls have receded back into the buds, calyx swollen, then you can start scoping out the trics..

Having some anxiety about these brown/gold hairs. Some buds are %70 all brown. The one skinny bud pic is also pretty dried out.
They are getting there! Still not yet man! Hard to tell with the quality of the pics but your calyxes still have some swelling to do before the pistil starts to recede. Keep waiting!

Thanks :)

Are the pistils the white/brown hairs all over the buds? I thought strawberry kush would produce red/purple hairs when mature.

Thanks... I read about botrytis. Although the top of the bud, brown hairs and dried up brown leaves, it does not seem to have any grey or other colored fungus/rot. The bud feels dry on the outside, but it's moist inside. It smells heavenly.

The other buds have just the white and brown hairs and look fine, except some of the have the same few dried up leaves at the top. There are a few leaves with yellow blotching on leaves/some few have also yellowed.

Conditions in my grow were okay except that the PH was a little high, 7.2 until about two weeks ago when I corrected it down to 6.0

My growing area is 2 x 4 grow tent where there are 6 plants, 3 strawberry kush, 3 diesel. 400w MH/ HPS 18/12

If I loose this crop I will be crying for months and I will need anti-depressants.
