Is she ready to make the CUT?!?

I have a Sativa that has been flowering for 7 Weeks. I lst'd her so there are about 11 main colas.
My question is... WHEN WILK SHE BE READY FOR HARVEST???
I was told sativas can take anywhere from 10-16 Weeks. I have also read that u should harvest when a majority of the trichomes are MILKY WHITE and most hairs have turned red/amber
As u can see in the picture IN MY OPINION, both those things have occurred but only at 7 Weeks.
I am not in a rush to harvest but I understand that there is a harvest point in which u should not miss. I have a small magnifying glass but it sees pretty good.
Another IMPORTANT question I have is...
Once u cut,trim,hang.and cure.. About when does the smell of a marijuana bud develope. I cut a SMALL piece off and hung it upside down in the dark until it dried and it has now been in a tupperware bowl for 2 days but all I smell is sort of a vegetable lemony kind of smell. Doesnt necessarily smell like WEED.

My first question is how do you know it's a sativa. Just cuz she has thin leaves isn't proof. If you bought the seeds then view the breeder's description for a basic timeline of when to harvest. Honestly, I don't think you will be getting too much more from her. I see CFLs near the bud in the photo but others are too far away IMO. Invest in a better light so you will grow bigger buds (unless you smoke a gram a month). She looks good, but more light would benefit you and bring out her aromas. Make sure she is totally dry and preferably cured before smoking.

Not done. Needs another week or few. Let the pistols pull in and those buds gain some more mass

That is just ONE one the Colas on there and probably the smallest. It was just the clearest picture. I wasn't really seeking a lesson in futility nor botany. My question was FROM THE WAY THAT PLANT LOOKS IN TGAT PICTURE,WOULD U SAY IT WAS TIME OR AROUND TIME TO HARVEST???
And does curing bring out the MARIJUANA smell???

Yeah I was going from the pic. If you want to be precise, get a scope and check the trichomes. Otherwise, the tell tale signs are that the pistols have sunk into the bud, and there should be few to no white/clear pistols.

Curing definitely brings out the smell
