Let me start out with, "I am not a new grower".
It is not my temp, it is not my VPD, I have balanced nutes and my PH is fine.
My vent fans and circulation fans are blowing strong.
I have a quest Dehumidifier.
I grow in coco DTW and I get plenty of runoff.
So I have an HLG 650 scorpion diablo with the added red.
It puts out a ton of PAR.
I am having issues in veg.
Plants just don't look healthy.
The advice I was given by a very seasoned grower is to dim down the light or raise it up.
I am feeding plenty of food between 500-900 ppm jacks 3-2-1.
Then another science buddy of mine provided studies that showed a well established plant with a large enough root system can handle a shit load of photons if fed properly.
Up to 2000 par on the extreme end of things.
I am just under 1000 par according to my Appogee meter.
My question is do I really have to lower the PAR by raising or dimming the light?
Or is it at all possible this could just be a nutrient availability issue I am dealing with.
If I raise or dim the light, all the problems just magically disappear.
I just think there is a better solution to my problem then giving up valuable light.
What does roll it up have to say?
Does anyone else have an issue with intense LED light in veg?
