Hi all, does anyone know if the lamp is any good if i convert it to a down light its a 4 buld uv light used for face tanning i think

go to the store and buy some cfl energy saving bulbs. who knows what type of light those bulbs produce.

That light produces UV...which can be beneficial for the plant...but not to be used as a primary light. Get some flouro workshop lights...they work pretty good for your veg stage.
