Is the smell too bad

I have never grown before, and i heard that in the budding stage that there was a very strong skunk smell. Does it smell up your house?

Some strains are more stronger than others. can you vent the smell away?
Also I have stayed away from skunk just for the smell I want to but Im chicken.

I'm growing 2 plants in 3 lb coffee cans. One is definately skunk, and I can hardly keep my nose away from the intoxicating aroma! It's a baby, only 6" tall planted August 5. It lives next door to another taller plant that is 10" and leafing well. It smells only of chlorofyll. A friend gave me these 2 seeds and so far, I've had good luck with my cheap indoor grow. Natural sun 4-6 hours a day through windows, and 40W flourescent bulb for another 4-6 hours. These are definately 2 different species, so I'm excited to see how they do. I'm a newb... but hoping to have at least a tiny harvest when ready. I have no more seeds and no more contacts to obtain any. My friend moved to Singapore, so I'm really out of luck unless I can produce some seeds for my next grow. I know I started late in the year (Aug 5) and I'm babying these 2 precious beauties. I keep them indoors 100% because of early frosts in my area. I'd hate to lose them to old man winter. But back to the main thread... I LOVE the skunk aroma and I know it will only get stronger. My wife is opposed to the scent, so I moved the tiny grow to my work-at-home office with good ventilization. I live in the sticks so we have frequent skunks walking around the neighborhood and all the neighbors do is complain about the odor... so I think I'm safe.

Just place an ONA gel container under the fan blades of a small cheap fan and aim it at your plants and the smell is gone
