Is the yield given by seed companies based on dry buds?

might be a stupid question but when seed companies state a rough yield for a particular plant i presume they mean just the dried buds. In which case i thought most plants grown indoors average about 3 or 4oz of bud per plant whereas most of the ones i've seen on these sites list yields of about 400-800 grams per plant.

I'm looking for a seed which is not overly potent but produces a large yield if anyone can recommend any?

the yeilds stated are generally of dry smokable bud , they are often exagerated,or given in per square meter or if a plant is grown outdoors..
remember even the low marks on yeilds are for perfection.. so count yourself fortunate if you hit the low numbers..
most people get an average of 1-2 oz per plant indoors and 3-8 per plant outdoors, these are just averages from what i have seen..
for instance nirvanas bubblicious claims yeils of 350- 450 g per meter2 my 3x3 table just raked a little over 300 and i am happy to come close to yeild standards hahaha..
remember people want to sell you seeds so they are going to tell you the max yeild as min.. most of the time..
i shoot for 3/4 g per watt but smile when i get 1/2..
hope this helps
most plants thnat state 500- 600 are for outside full crop time... 500-600 g for a haze sounds a bit inflated

Perfect answer to the question. Exactly what I was gonna say. Also, you have to understand that the seed companies that make these statements grow their plants in absolutely perfect conditions to maximize growth potential and yield. Having said that, they're still prolly full of shit with them numbers.
