Is there a 'best' time to add K to your medium?

So from what I've gathered, adding N is essential during veg, as it gives you leaves and foliage. Adding P during flowering makes bigger buds. So when is the best time to add potassium? At which stage during the cannabis growth cycle does the plant most benefit from being given potassium?

I'm currently using this fertilizer high in N https://www.promixgardening.com/en/...ulti-purpose-granular-garden-fertilizer-7-3-3

But I'm considering using this fertilizer in tandem, but is it just a moot point to use? https://www.promixgardening.com/en/...ables-fruits-granular-garden-fertilizer-4-4-8

Or is there a best/optimal time to add this high in K fertilizer?

You could mix them. Then it'd be about 5.5-3.5-5.5.

They need K the whole time, but when they're budding they'll want a little more, especially closer towards the end. That stuff probably takes awhile to break down so if you started adding it now, there should be plenty available when they really want it.

So the plan that I had, was to use the 7 3 3 fertilizer through veg and then switch to this https://www.gaiagreen.com/product-page/power-bloom-2-8-4 near the end of veg/beginning of flower.

I'd prefer to use the GG fertilizer for flower as I've heard really good things about Gaia Green. The only reason I wanted to use the 4 4 8 fert is because it's high in K and I don't know when or if I should try and prioritize using that element in my grow for optimal results. I read somewhere that K was really good for root development, so that was kind of my MO - use that fertilizer to develop as many strong and healthy roots before dousing the soil with that power bloom for explosive growth. That fertilizer has something called Mycoactive technology, which is said to be a proprietary tech that is great for root development. More roots means more nutrient uptake meaning better, healthier yields. Am I right to assume that?

Between the 3 fertilizers I mentioned, which combination of them would you recommend using?

In the veg stage The higher N is good. But in the flower stage, I'd probably mix the 4-4-8 with the 2-8-4 to give about a 3-6-6 like 2 weeks into flower.

But you could also mix the 7-3-3 with the 4-4-8 to give it ~5.5-3.5-5.5 ratio. Or do 2 parts 7-3-3 to 1 part 4-4-8 to give ~6-3.3-4.6 for veg. But the straight 7-3-3 would be fine for veg too.

This is confusing to me. I understand the nitrogen part, that creates new leafs. But which element creates the most roots? If N creates leaves, which of P or K is best for roots? Or does N cover root growth too? And is one of these elements lesser than the others? I know that they're all needed, but if there was one element that a plant didn't receive as abundantly as the others, would it still be able to bloom/create fruit as effectively if it did receive that element?

P fattens buds, K and S bring out more terpenes. But you want a balance throughout the grow. My South Park gif was just a joke too, in case you were wondering. I wasn't being a smartass. It's a South Park thing about Emo plants,

So is there a specific order they should be added at any point in the grow? Right now I have the 7 3 3 fert, I do not have any of the other 2 fertilizers. Which of the GG 2 8 4 or the PROMIX 4 4 8 should I prioritize adding to my soil/mixing in with the 7 3 3 fert?

The 7-3-3 is fine for now. If I had to prioritize what to get next, I'd probably get the other GG (2-8-4) first.

Any pics?

Pics can help us give better advice usually.
Sure.

So if you look at the plants, you can see the yellow leaves where the N deficiency took place. All that new growth on top is courtesy of the 7 3 3 granular I added, I think. It grows about a half inch per day, which, during the N deficiency there appeared to be no growth.

They're about 22 days old today, seedlings sprouted on May 23rd. They're in round 4.00 plant pots. I'm planning on keeping them in there for a little over a month before I transplant into the final container, 5 gallon grow bags. Hopefully by that time I have abundant root development. That's my goal right now

Maybe grab a bottle of Neptune's Harvest for quicker nutes until the dry stuff starts working more.

Wow we have a few sales pitches and still no answer for your inquiry

I use a water soluble fert in my dirt. I begin adding my flower or "P&K" mix at week before flip indoors. Outdoors is a guess at best. And still keep some N in flower. .

I think the granular is working, there was literally no growth and only yellowing of leaves prior to me putting it into the dirt.

I did it a special way. I mixed the stuff into the top of my soil, then I used my spray bottle and misted the top of the soil EXTENSIVELY until there was run off. Not only did this 'flush' my soil medium but it also agitated the granular fertilizer enough that it went down with all the excess water run off. I don't wanna add too many nutes and risk burning it. I even had some fertilizer mixed into a bowl with water in case I REALLY needed to add more. I'm thankful I didn't because this appears to be working at the moment.

So it's seedling, veg, & bloom. Those are your 3 grow cycle stages, correct? So what you do is begin adding P&K the last week of veg before flower, which is when you change your light cycle from 18/6 to 12/12, right?

How do you know when to make that "flip?"
