Is there anything ethically wrong about eating human meat grown inside a laboratory?

id have to ask..
what makes it human?
can its dna be traced back to a single donor?

would we all be eating the same persons meat?

can i be that person?

would i be able to walk into the meat market, ask for it to be tenderized and remark that he's beating some dudes meat?

semi serious questions in there...
id probably eat it

What makes it human is the DNA sample it's grown from; human DNA

I'd imagine the donor list would be anonymous

No. It never came from a living, breathing, thinking organism. It's a non-conscious piece of flesh grown in a lab. It would be just as ethical as eating cow meat grown the same way.

What about if we started harvesting the protein and fats from aborted fetuses, used that to somehow make a long shelf life M.R.E. type of food to package and donate to the hungry in Africa or elsewhere?

There has to be lots of nutrition in a fetus of 4 months.

I mean why not? Taste is probably the same as beef, chewy and... meaty.

Now on the other hand if there would be some kind of human factory farms were we would harvest meat and THEN eat it... damn that's the shit that keeps me up at night.

if you stripped it and made jerky, does that mean that you jerked off the man you are now eating?

sounds exciting, if it were gay and not macabre..... however, i've seen hogs eat pork, cattle eat protein pellets made from beef, chickens eat brains of dead chickens, and rats are just plain cannibalistic...

so....

zombie apocalypse?

I don't agree with any meet grown in the lab. If we engineered some mindless humans and raised them free range, though, I would be down with that. Keep it organic.

I am still on the fence about human veal though.

Sounds like you could still get mad cow... but that isn't the question. Is it ethical? I don't see why it would not be... other than the fact that people will eventually get mad cow's disease.
