Sheesh, you could have at least cut out all of the useless garbage from that post, I had to take the model number and do a google search to find out that it has 60-100X magnification. I've never used it but you only need 30x magnification to get a good look at the trichomes.

Its great...same one i got a few months ago at the shack.

The BEST! i just got mien 4 days ago and I'm on it all day! Checking out everything in life)))))) No need better than this for sure.

There is a learning curve w/this thing in viewing trichs.
It's usually much easier to snip a little piece off your bud and then view it on a flat, light colored surface, IMO.
Trying to see with material on the plant certainly takes better eyes and a steadier hand than I've ever had.

I used a 30X loupe for a long time and while it gets the job done the pocket microscopes provide real viewing pleasure. I normally use mine at 60-80X.

I check each of my plants every day, top and bottom flowers, and if I started cutting pieces off I'd soon have a big pile of immature bud.

I've found just sticking it right on the flowers, with or without the light, and getting a quick focus works best for me. Once that focus is in place I go from colas to colas, plant to plant.

That's sure how it should work and I'm guessing all users of this scope try your suggestion.
I'm talking pieces about this < size.

I tried smooshing it into the living matter, but couldn't imagine I was supposed to be knocking trich heads off (or smearing them) w/every look.
If that works for you, great! I can't focus my eyes that fast and these old hands shake much too much!

I just use mine before I hit the bung.So No shaking,no tilting))),and no more saying O SHIT!!! But i do both ways ,on a flat surface 1-2 times a week and almost every day get close as i feel safe not to harm them. IT HAPEND!!!LOL))))))))
