1 1/2 gal of fox farm ocean forest
1 1/2 gal fox farm happy frog
1/2 gal perlite
1/2 lb earthworm castings
1/2 individual brick of Coco coir
All in 5 gal smart pot
i will also b using sensi grow part a+b during veg for two months and lst, top, and a little lollipopping
and during flower i will b using bud candy

And quick question with the smart pots will the water leak out the side when i water my plant? Considering it's made of fabric

I would avoid the brick coir (too fine particles) and use coarse grade coir (nice sized chunks croutons) so the drainage and ph problems can be fixed easier if you get a bad brick....

well my current soil mix is pretty much exactly what you have their, I just don't use Coco. I love it, and I've been using it for a year and a half.

I already mixed the coco coir in., what will that do .. i will b using nutes with my soil mix too. ., some ppl say don't use nutes with coco coir cuz it will hold them and burn my plant

Yes I use exactly those ingredients my percentages may be a little different. I make my own worm castings as I have active compost bins but that's it. Coco has always been one of those things that I thought of as a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. Plants grow in dirt all over the world! If your gunna use nutes as I do too, your gunna wunna wait about 3 weeks before you do. You can see my most current grow in the 6th annual solo cup grow on here.

Awesome .. why should i wait 3 weeks tho? Cuz my soil is already rich enough? And can i start a seedling in this soil mix?

And correction on the nutes. For veg I'll b using sensi grow a+b and during flower i will b using nirvana bloom, big bud and overdrive

Yes that soil mix is going to be plenty fertile. I personally have always sprouted my beans in my soil inside a solo cup after 2-3 weeks into the 5gal
That's exactly what i do. . And i wasn't sure if my soil would burn my seedlings (because they're not strong enough). . I was gonna start them in just plan happy frog . But if you've had success using this soil mix then I'm just going to do that

I have never had burn problems with seedlings in this mix as long as I watered with ph'd water. Your choice of nutes are fine. I don't use anything spectacular. What are your lights again?

400 watt mh, hps. And I'll b growing blue mystic and blueberry og. And I checked the ph in my soil and it's between 6-7 , do you think I'll need phd water too?

Dam i never even knew this. . I have a ph meter it's only for soil tho..
lets just say your soil comes in at 7.5 and your water has a ph of 8.5 that is 16 divide that by 2 ( your soil and water) and you get a total ph of 8.0, equals plant death or a hassle of a grow for you and not much if any production for you.

This is my 3rd grow and I've never checked my water. And it's always done good. . I heard majority of tap water is ok to use

that would be accurate most tap water in mine and others opinions is just fine. There are some circumstances though that dictate you ph your water. Its just good to know where yours falls.
