is this a jiffy?

i got this stuff but im not sure how it works

it looks like jiffy's

should i just put a seed in the center? and then add water? i need to soak it first?

If its not already soaked you gotta soak it to make it big. And yea it looks to be a jiffy man. Just soak it, stick your seed in and cover and you'll be good man.

wassup. im a newbie myself, but....that is exactly what i used to start mine last week. actually, went to the gardening section of a popular hardware chain, and i was able to purchase a entire starter kit for about $15. has 70 of the jiffy pellets, self watering system and dome to trap in heat.

in ignorance, i did not soak my seeds, but about a day and a half later, the seeds had germinated and roots were busting out of the sides of the jiffy pellets.

soak seeds, add hot water to jiffy and plant seeds. then smoke and be patient.

I mean don't get me wrong jiffy starters are ok but the Ph in jiffy and just the overall quality of the soil is poor for MJ. But its ok I've grown many little seedlings in jiffy starters.

yeah, actually in some videos they dont recommend jiffys for the ph issue

so jiffys are just used as a growing medium right? for hydro growing i think

No the things you have have there is just a jiffy starter. Its for soil grow. Jiffy is just the brand name, the medium is just low grade soil.
