i am wondering if it is not recomended to use say an advanced nutrient solution in a mostly soil base system that is a self water or drip feeder style, would it create a over furtilizing problem becuase of soil or should i just stick to soil furtilizers that are 20/20/20 and so on. i am thinking it would be the best of both worlds hydro nutes with soil growing indoors or is that a no?

Nope, not a stupid question! Hydro nutes are usually more complete than soil nutes, because they need to contain a lot of trace elements that soil provides. So, you can use them in soil, but you will have to use less than the hydro recipes. Some have instructions for soil use, too, but if not then use 1/4 of the hydro recipe.
