Is this bugs or deficiency?

Hi, these guys are less than 3 weeks away from harvest so at first I thought it was some sort of deficiency cause it was happening only on older leaves. But the little brown/dark red spots have been spreading very fast and today I saw them on newer leaves too. Is it some bug attack or deficiency? Help!

I sprayed with Neem oil, but two days later the spots have continued to multiply. Now they are on the youngest leaves at the bud sites too. Any ideas? Fungus? Blight? Thanks in advance.

cOULD it be a combination of PH lockout and phos def? That's what my plants had..

Hi, I haven't measured pH, will do so in the next watering which is two days from now. I doubt its P deficiency though, because last week I fed the plant "Bone Meal" which is something like 6-9-0. I applied anti-insect soap today on top of the Neem oil. Hoping it will improve.

Don't think it's bugs. Definately some kind of deficiency. How old is she? what's your setup?

Seriously though bro, Don't forget to check you're PH, to me it seems like a combination..but what do I know I'm still on my first crop..just look into it.

Your pics show 2 deficiencies:

The general yellowing is caused by N deficiency, which is normal for large fanleaves if the plant is in flowering or the fanleaves are old and localized at the bottom of the plant. If one of these two is the case, don't try to fix it, it's normal, the plant is just sucking out the energy and nutes from the old leaves to redirect towards the buds. Completely natural.

The brown spots could be produced by a calcium deficiency. Are there more brown spots on other, healthy leaves? If yes, you can fix this by adding cal-mag or by adding 2 tbs/gal of molasses to the watering solution. If not, it's just a normal reaction to the N def.

Hello, here is an update.

I tested the soil today, pH came in at 7, and all NPK came in at "low" or "very low" according to the color chart.

Are there more brown spots on other, healthy leaves?
Yes, the brown spots have started appearing on the young, small and dark green leaves that are at the bud sites.

Then it's clear: N def and Calcium def. Both caused by lock out due to the high pH. Lower your pH to 6.5 (I recommend pH down, bought from any pet storest, it's for aquariums) and add molasses for the cal def.

Thanks for the advice, repping you up doc!

I'm not sure what the exact pH was because the test kit had only one color for 6 and one for 7, so it could have been slightly below 7 as well.

I actually have some ph down concentrate from General Hydroponics left from another grow; I'm trying to keep this one organic and don't know if its ok to add chemicals like that. Any organic ways to decrease pH?

I got some organic blackstrap molasses and will add them today.

It takes a surprisingly large amount of lemons to lower your pH from 7 to 6.3-6.5. This is because the pH scale is a logarithmic scale.

Your not feeding any Potassium? This is a must for flower.
As to ur problem - little brown spots covering ur leaves is normally a sign of iron deficiency - sometimes caused by PH problems, sometimes by Zinc toxicity which locks out the Iron.
If it is a Zinc toxicity, then the inner part of ur crown will be a light green colour and ur leaves will curl under.
Best way to fix iron deficiency, as simple as it may sound is to water with rusty water.
Hope This Helps - XxNinjaxX :joint:
