Is this healthy....?

Hello Rollitup! I have been lurking around here for a short while and have finally decided to make an account here because this seems like a good place to hang out

So I planted a seed in some soil and it actually started to grow haha. I wasn't really prepared to take care of it, I just thought it'd be cool if it actually started to grow. Anyway, I've got it under my sink with three 26 watt 6500k cfl's on a 12/12 light schedule. I've had it on 12/12 since seed because I want the plant to stay small and go straight to flower.

This is the plant yesterday morning.

The leaves are hanging kind of low, is that okay? I've been giving it just plain water from my sink. And I water only when the soil feels dryish when I feel the soil a few inches down. I've also got a small fan blowing air on it 24/7. Oh yeah, could this be a female? I see some thin things sticking out from the middle that could be pistils, but I'm not totally sure because I'm a newb.

Thanks everybody!

looks pretty good, maybe a tad overwatered
You might need better aeration in your soil

The leafs are a good colour but shouldn't be bending over like that.
Also, the leafs are too small. Even without the bending, you would have to say something is stunting it's growth.
Sorry I don't have the reason why this is happening- but it's not growing optimal at all.

As for female- it's far too small/young to be producing any pre-flowers. It will be impossible to tell what gender it is yet.

Nah that wouldn't be it- not yet. I've seen bigger seedlings in jiffy plugs (which are a lot smaller than a cup)

Seeds can be very bitchy sometimes. So many things can stunt them like; heat, light level (too much or too little), too much fertilizer to start out with... hell maybe even if you look at them the wrong way they may fuck up on you lol jk

Go over all your inputs and see what doesn't match up with the text book way of growing. Next time try to use a really good starting medium for your seedling. Some companies sell a special seedling raising mix or maybe you could just use some good coco coir or rockwool (adding a tiny smidgen of fertilizer when they get about 2 leaf sets big) so you have a known quantity that has nothing in it that will interfere.
Anyway stunted or not, it's still alive and green so if you keep at it you should be able to bring it back around.

Well I sure hope that I didn't piss my baby off haha! And yeah, like I said this was really not planned out. I'll just keep taking care of it the best that I can and learn as I go. Thanks for the advice s0lumn and dl290485!

go get a new pot 3-5 gallon size and get some better soil , transplant to final pot and bury it up to the bottom of the main leaves and she will come back around with a vengeance.. looks like the bulb is a lil close for the seedling.. when they get a lil bigger then you can slam the light down on them ..KEEP ON GROWIN

Yes I've got a fan blowing on it 24/7 the stem seems kind of study and seems to be starting to get woody. And it is in a 32 oz cup right now. Concerning the pot size, I am trying to keep this plant tiny because I don't have a big area to grow it in. This is under my sink. Should I go for a 3 gallon or 5 gallon?

5 gallon...................is it a staiva or indica because if you chose stav' plants for a small grow than thats your own fault lol

I really don't know. It was a random bag seed. When I started this grow I had no intentions on actually getting the plant to sprout, but the fact that it actually did, makes me feel obligated to nurture it lol. And it was some low grade cannabis that I got it from. I'm guessing indica.

Hmm yes I was looking into low stress training. Thanks for the link I will check it out. One other thing. I am currently building a 17 inch pc grow case. I was hoping to move it into it because I need it for stealth lol. And I was gonna add some wire racks for the low stress training like in here. What are your thought on this?

eh pc cases arent really worth it you could easily build something better from wood. why are you so insistent on stealth?
